Naval Architect - Platform Systems and Overall Design (m/f/d)
Join Germany’s leading ship design and engineering company and take a key role in shaping the future. As a Naval Architect for platform systems, you are responsible for the overall design of various ship types. You will guide our customers and lead teams of engineers driving the development of complex shipbuilding projects from concept design through to execution.
Responsibilities
Develop and design ships and maritime platforms
Understand customer requirements and suggest solutions
Evaluate designs according to their efficiency, overall costs and regulatory compliance
Provide cost estimations
Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams
Be the naval architect, sparring partner and pace setter for all departments
Qualifications
A university degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or a related discipline
Proven professional experience in ship design, with a focus on platform systems and overall arrangements
General knowledge in relevant CAD and naval architecture software (e.g., AutoCAD, Rhino, NAPA)
Strong familarity of international standards and classification society requirements
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
