Engineer - Corrosion Protection and Coating (Shipbuilding) (m/f/d)

As an Engineer for Corrosion Protection and Coating, you will play a key role in ensuring the durability, safety, and long-term performance of a wide range of vessels – from cruise and cargo ships to research and special-purpose vessels.

• Developing and implementing comprehensive corrosion protection concepts for new shipbuilding and repair projects

• Selecting and specifying appropriate coating systems and materials based on technical requirements and industry standards

• Supervising and monitoring the application of coatings to ensure quality and compliance

• Conducting inspections, quality control checks, and failure analysis

• Collaborating with project managers, design teams, and production staff to integrate corrosion protection measures

• Creating and maintaining technical documentation, reports, and specifications

• A university degree in Engineering (e.g., Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering) or a comparable technical qualification.
• Proven professional experience in corrosion protection and industrial coatings, ideally within the shipbuilding or maritime sector.
• In-depth knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations (e.g., IMO PSPC, NACE, FROSIO).
• Strong analytical skills and a structured, detail-oriented approach to problem-solving.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Fluency in English is required.
