Electrical Engineer - Communication & Nautical Systems (m/f/d)

As part of our Propulsion and Energy department, you will play a key role in developing and integrating innovative communication solutions for modern vessels. You will work on sophisticated newbuild and development projects, contribute your technical knowledge in a focused way, and actively participate in technical-decision-making. Responsibilities
You develop and integrate communication- and navigation systems for shipbuilding projects – from concept- to detailed engineering
You create design concepts for communication systems for ships and maritime installations, coordinate these with related partners
You take over responsibility for layout and arrangement plans for navigation, communication and network-based systems
You define system architectures and prepare overall system diagrams for nautical- and overall communication systems
You prepare detailed schematic diagrams for navigation and communication systems
You ensure technical regulations, standards, and commercial requirements are consistently met
You prepare speciation’s, review and evaluate supplier-specific solutions
You coordinate with owners, authorities, shipyards and suppliers
Qualifications
You have a degree in electrical engineering, communications engineering, or comparable technical fields
You have at least three years of relevant experience in shipbuilding or maritime systems
You are proficient in relevant software (MS Office, AutoCAD; optional: 3D-Design)
You communicate fluently in English and German – verbally and in writing
You work independently and value teamwork at the same time
You are enthusiastic about maritime innovations and open for new technologies and developments
